Here is some of the pictures I’ve taken over the years. I hope you like them as much as I liked taking them!
Thank you for wandering with me!
A few weeks ago, I went to Disneyland Paris for a day trip. Yes, you heard me, a day trip! We were picked up at our allocated time at the destination closest to us and drove through the night getting on a 90 minute ferry ride to Calais and then carrying on driving through the night onto Paris. Due to late arrival of pick up and traffic we didn’t get breakfast in the outskirts of Paris, however, if you are on time you will get breakfast at 8:30am and then carry on traveling up to Disneyland to arrive at 10am!
Having the entire day till 11pm to explore both the park and Walt Disney Studios, with five fast track tickets you will have plenty of time to get everything in. Before you go back to the coach you will get to watch the light show on the castle where depending on the time of you a wonderful array of Characters such as Anna and Olaf from Frozen will be projected onto the castle, with light beams and water fountains, it is a day in paradise for young children, without the expense for the parents! The fast track tickets are great, however they are different to what we know, you book the time slot in advance, so when you get there start using them straight away as fast track closes around 7pm so you won’t be able to book slots after that.
You and your children, or if you are a couple, can watch the parades and get cuddles with your favorite Disney characters. With loads of different lands, it is perfect for all ages to enjoy. You will become the child that is in your heart from the moment you step into this magical place.
The way I managed to keep this fairly cheap is through Wowcher, and they are doing the deal again at the moment and it comes up reguarly. Through a company called Coach Innovations, you will book this up for £99 per person (usually £149 per person). Its a fantastic deal considering Disneyland tickets are 88 euros on the gate! You will get a resort hopper ticket with this meaning you have access to the studios as well which contains lots of new rides as well as Tower of Terror, Crash’s Coaster and Toy Story Land!
If you are going to travel with kids, I warn you in advance the merchandise here is expensive and especially if you have several children it can be more expensive than its worth. I have a tip about how to do it a cheaper way while your children still experience all the souvenirs. The morning before you go, you can wake them up with a pile of presents that Mickey has left for them instead and you can get it cheaper outside the park. Such us on Wowcher again, there is lots of Disney products. Such as this wonderful onesie which they could travel and sleep in on the coach nice and warm!
Or these various Frozen accessories:
I hope this gives you a good idea to have a special day with your children or friends. It is a great day and worth the money completely, bring blankets and pillows for the coach journey to snuggle up and sleep well and you can leave these on the coach. If you do go, let me know how you enjoyed it and what you thought?
Thank you for wandering with me!
Lets admit it. We all struggle with what bags to take with us when traveling, primarily because we love our bags so much its difficult to chose. But if you are like me and often (out of force, not willingly) have to use a cabin case for an entire weekend (Madness!) then you don’t have the luxury that is space. However I’m going to show you all the different types of bags you can take depending on your traveling arrangement and how they are useful.
Checked Luggage:
If you have checked luggage you have the wonderful luxury of packing what you like into a nice big bag (always spare underwear and clothes, I’m the sort of person where my luggage will get lost!). I would suggest a back pack or a tote bag of some sort, spacious and easy to carry. Here are some lovely fashionable bags to join you on your wandering.
http://uk.accessorize.com/view/product/uk_catalog/acc_20/6893569900
Tote Bag: £7.50
Plus 5% cash back and nus discount if you are a student.
Back Pack: £13.99
Cabin Case:
Sadly, if you are like me and have to use a cabin case, you know the troubles of not being able to have another smaller bag often unless the airline are generous. I often hide a small little bag under my coat or cardigan and within it place my passport, purse, headphones and anything else I want easy access to on the flight without having to trample over the people in my row to get to my case. This little bag needs to be small and easily hidden so the crew don’t try to get you to pack it away in your case however if you have to do so you can manage to fit in if you need to.

However, many like to be fashionable with there actually cabin case and I have found a wonderful deal on Groupon on some lovely cabin cases for £13.99 and until Friday are 15% off with this code: LOCPROMO15 along with 6% cash back (Obviously!).
http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal/gg-groupon-goods-global-gmb-h-1839-33/54078997
With many different designs to choose from I would order fast, as the designs are selling out quickly, so get in there before they go!
So there you go, a few different ideas on the types of bags you could look into getting for traveling and how these different bags will help aid your traveling and make it smoother.
Thank you for wandering with me!
Wandering through Paris was the perfect time to get back into my photography which I absolutely love. I don’t claim to be good, or know loads about all the aspects and details, I simply point and shot at what I believe looks good. I don’t want to get into the technicalities of it. I enjoy it, I don’t want to lose interest because it gets to complicated so here are some of my Paris pictures. I hope you enjoy them.
Thank you for wandering with me!
I have arrived home from..(Drum roll please!) PARIS! This stunning place really shocked me. I have always thought of it as a place of cliches whereby it would be full of roses and romance but its an ordinary place that’s dominated by the Eiffel Tower which is so intricately beautiful, it has got to be one of the most incredible pieces of architecture that I have ever seen, and I’m not a arty person! You can’t get sick of looking at it, each time you gaze at this feature of the city, it simply gets more jaw dropping and breath taking! I thought it would be similar to Rome whereby there would be people flogging things at the bottom or all around the city, however there was a few but nothing compared to what I have experienced in previous countries. The queues were minimal, so small in fact, I manage to get up the Eiffel Tower three times. Once on the first day, where we walked up (Could. Not. Breath!). Twice on the second day. Once to go up via the lift to go for a meal in the Tour 58 Eiffel restaurant for a picnic chic lunch and the second time to go up a night! The food was mouth watering, with a Chicken Cesar Salad starter, Ox meat (Don’t judge me, I felt guilty enough, but everything else had nuts in and I’m allergic!) and then an Orange Marmalade Rice Pudding. Each course was wonderful and brought up in a basket, with a glass of wine and an espresso at the end. If you would like to do it, don’t go to the restaurant straight off as you will have to reserve and pay extortionate prices! I recommend this deal:
http://www.365tickets.co.uk/58-tour-eiffel/58-tour-eiffel-lunch-picnic-chic
This lunch is £31.48 and with 3% cash back. The meal was wonderful, with great service and delicious food, couldn’t have asked for a better time (Tip: Try to get out the lift first, you might get a window seat like we did!).
The glass floor at the first floor of the Eiffel Tower is mind boggling and freaked me out so much, but you have to do it to feel this stomach dropping feeling!
The Louvre is wonderful and full of incredible art (Clueless over here) but we managed to see the Mona Lisa which was awesome to be able to view finally. The building itself is great and you can also get in free if you are 18-25 so make sure you carry your identification or passport although always beware of pickpockets. The Arc De Triomph is a sight to behold with a petrifying round about around it, there is a subway system to get across to it, don’t try to walk across the traffic like we almost did (Not smart cookies!) Once again this is free for 18-25 year old’s which is great.
We went on the Batobus river tour which is opposite the Eiffel Tower by the river and is 16 euros for a whole day of hop on and hop off. However there are lots of river tours to choose from.
The hotel we stayed in was the Mercure Hotel. A two minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and some rooms have a small view of the top of the Eiffel Tower. The staff are wonderful and helpful after we had a hiccup with our room. The rooms are small but modern and chic and well kept. Breakfast is 15 euros, however while this might seem expensive, we had breakfast out one morning thinking we could do it cheaper and it was only a euro or so cheaper, so its better value for money, when we did do the breakfast there the next morning, the food was lovely, with a full breakfast, pastries, fruit and lots more to take your pick from.
Over all, this was a perfect trip, the metro system is easy to use and its easy to get from the airport to the center just research it before you go. The restaurants are expensive but its Paris, you have to splurge to some extent! And please become a proper Parisian and have coffee or hot chocolate in the lovely little cafes, its a wonderful experience and a great break from all the walking you will do. There is so much to do in this beautiful city, i recommend it to all!
Thank you for wandering with me!
So I am currently heading home from my destination (sad face), having had an incredible time, a place of romance and fashion, it is one of the most cliche places on earth and yet it didn’t feel like that at all. With cold temperatures but lovely skies of blue we couldn’t have asked for better weather this time of year. I would like you to guess where I am heading home from. I would give you picture clues but you would guess straight away as the sights are iconic which is clue number 1!
Clues:
1. Iconic sights.
2. Art art and more art!
3. Crepes! (Yum)
4. Pastries! (Yum again!)
5. Fashion. (Way to expensive!)
6. Mona Lisa.
So off you go and start guessing!
Thank you for wandering with me!
I went shopping today (I’m an addict) with my mum (Bad influence!) and we wandered through the shops together picking our way through the sales trying to find wonderful bargains. I’m trying to get another pair of trousers that I got for Christmas that were a bit small and I was going to use as my motivation pants, but not anymore…I like food a bit to much! But in the process I got a dress.
So you guys might have seen my recent post of Affordable Wandering with this outfit:
Yes, I bought this dress, and yes I love it! Its beautiful and stunning and I can’t wait to wear it, however now looking at it in reality the shoes above don’t really go with it, you would need a silver or grey pair to go with this stunning dress and if you matched it with the bag above the shoes would bring out the detail on the bag.
I also bought a stunning gold and navy jump suit of intricate pattern and I aim to get a mannequin to show off outfits that I own to give people ideas on what goes well together so once I get that I will show you all what it is, because I kind of love it and I kind of want to wear it now but its way too cold so I guess I’ll have to wait till my next hot holiday!
Which brings me to my next point of call…I am off wandering the globe again tomorrow (sadly not warm enough for the jumpsuit, more like five layers!), I shall post when I get home all about it and where I have been but for now I want you guys to try and guess where I am going!
Thank you for wandering with me!
The New York skyline is a view of hope and magnificence. Proof that people escaped there to build lives, dreams and most of all, miracles. Heights reached where no one thought possible before. History created with every new building that raised up out of nothing.
New York is by far my favorite city on earth. My first time visiting New York, occurred last month. Arriving late at night, I saw only the skyline (Incredible!) and went straight into Little Italy and we stayed in our hotel area for the night for dinner. With excitement buzzing through me, I didn’t sleep all night, I say excitement, it was more the traffic outside that kept me up, but hey, its New York, you don’t go there to sleep!
We stayed in the most wonderful hotel, with accommodating staff who carry you luggage everywhere. I fully apologize now to any Americans reading this, tipping isn’t our thing in the United Kingdom, so please forgive us when we forget, when we visit, we don’t mean anything by it!
A chic, boutique hotel that, while doesn’t look much from the inside, is massive, tiny rooms but so many of them! The loft like look of it adds to the New York feel to the hotel. With free tea and coffee served from midday till nine in the evening, it’s the perfect thing to come back to after a long day of walking around this incredible city.
The SoHotel
I would say that Booking.com are one of the cheapest hotel prices however when I went, it was cheaper to go via the hotels actual website, though this does not occur often. I’m not saying this place is cheap, no where is cheap in New York unless you go to Hostels. The rooms are small but quaint with a ladder effect shelving unit and a large television to experience the American Adverts (Love them!).
Top Ten Places to go (We’ll be here a long time if I list every place!):

If you have been to New York, what were your favorite parts and where would you go? I hope you enjoyed reading about my experience of New York.
Thank you for wandering with me.
Holy mother of God. 13 minutes left before the diet starts. My mother and I are sitting here stuffing our faces, despite having gone out to dinner this evening and had what felt like the Last Supper! We went to my favorite restaurant/pub, a Table Table chain. Looking forward to their incredible Chicken and Mushroom pie, my tummy has been rumbling all day for the meal, only to be saddened when I got there to find that the menu has changed. (Yes I sulked!). But alas, an even better meal was discovered, the sweet mouthwatering Ribs with BBQ sauce and Southern Fried Chicken Goujons. Slapping away hands that tried to steal my chips (I will break fingers!) I was determined to finish every last drool inducing mouthful of this delicious meal! Sadly I left some chips but I’m still proud…and full! I have been to several different restaurants of this particular chain and have always found them to be wonderfully accommodating with attentive staff.
However, I was wondering if anyone has the same problems I do with eating out in general. One, that the waiters try to get you to order as soon as you sit down (Because I so memorized your menu before I came! I actually did but shush so not the point right now!), and after asking them for five more minutes, they never seem to come back so by the time they do, their are skeletons collapsed in the chairs? Secondly, the mouth full of food, whenever the waiter asks “How is your meal today?” Nodding unable to say anything without spraying food everywhere, you smile…with food all over your teeth…because that is so much better. Yes, you guys have seen it coming, Miranda Moments!
But getting back to the original topic I would love to give this chain a raving review for they have never failed to impressive me, their menu changes regularly so as not to bore anyone and the prices are wonderful with regular deals. Good quality food for good prices! They also offer a points card for loyal customers, and I’m sure I’m not the only one with about fifty loyalty cards in my purse that I remember I’ve got as soon as I get my bag and receipt!
Sadly, the diet starts very soon and tomorrow morning I will wake up to a healthy breakfast and salads for a long time! I hope you join me in wandering through my diet struggles and can help encourage me to keep going when my eyes tempt me with chocolate and cream cakes!
Thank you for wandering with me!
Hopefully the sales haven’t tempted you to blow all your Christmas cash just yet because I have some beautiful dresses for you to indulge in. All you need is a reason to do so and I have it! We all get to Christmas time and have Christmas Parties and Balls to go to, especially with work. But we don’t have the dress. We don’t have that one long dress that fits beautifully so that we can walk into our work do or Christmas party knowing everyone’s opinion on us will change (No, we are not this nerdy outside of work! It’s the uniform!). Sadly due to said Christmas time, we simply can’t afford the stunning dresses we so desperately want, (the sad truth of growing up, we can’t steal presents for the family off our parents any longer, we actually have to buy them! Jeez!).
Solution time! I have had the wonderful idea of buying our next years Christmas dress in the sales now! In worst case scenario we find a better dress later in the year or gain or lose weight we can simply sell and probably turn a profit, it’s a win win situation! I will show a range of different dresses all stunning in different styles that won’t empty your account, I will show accessories and prices of these however these are just an idea as to how to accessories the dresses. I hope you love them as much as I do.

So there you have it, five stunning outfits (in my opinion) that including accessories, are all under £50. However, the accessories are just what I would wear with the dresses to show how it can look for sometimes its how you accessorize that makes an outfit. As you can see, I kind of like New Look! But if you shop primarily in Top Shop or H&M, go have a look, you might find some wonderful bargains for next Christmas.
So take the vote before and we can find out which outfits you like the most!
